Show up. Speak out. Stop the rezoning.

public meetings

The City of Zeeland received a rezoning application from Reckitt/Mead Johnson for 605 and 633 E. Main Avenue (Cityside Townhomes and the Red Barn). In an effort to keep the community informed and provide space for meaningful engagement, two public meetings were held and we thank everyone in the community who turned out and participated in the engagement process.

On June 25, the Planning Commission held a special meeting for a preliminary vote on the rezoning application.

The Planning Commission voted 6–1 for the resolution to rezone 605 E. Main St. and 7–0 for the 633 E. Main St. resolution. The commission plans to formally recommend the rezoning to the City Council, which is responsible for final action on the rezoning applications, on July 10. City Council is expected to review the request on July 21.

Local news following June 5th meeting.
